So John Edwards had an affair. So his wife did not go screaming it to every tabloid she could find. So what?
Those democrats who are attacking her are shameful. This is a woman who is fighting inoperable cancer, trying to raise two small children and has just had her high profile husband embarrass her in public. Quit piling on. It is not like she is the First Lady or anything!
Oops. Did I say that out loud? Where was all this venom when Hillary was helping cover for Bill? We know from her track record in this area, she was a serial offender. Yet all I remember was an out pouring of sympathy for the poor little woman shamed by her man.
How self serving and disingenuous can these people be? Frankly, when has infidelity by someone in politics ever been a surprise? It would seem to me however, that a cover up of a private affair in the Oval Office should prompt more outrage than the private affair of a would be contender.
Powerful men who have an over inflated opinion of their worth to the world and publicly trash their spouses are not objects of sympathy. Their spouses, regardless of their public facade, should be.
I'm not sure I follow...this story was buried shortly after it broke, and
was placed on a back burner for months and months. I am a cable-news
junkie, and can't remember the last time I heard anyone say squat about
this, with the exception of Bill Maher on Larry King a few nights ago who
said, "He didn't cheat on me". Yes, a decent sized segment of the
Democratic Party is self-serving and disingenuous, as is the majority of
the Republican Party, but if you're going to go after anybody, go after the
pundits who thrive off of distraction instead of what's actually taking
place in the world around us that should be the focus of what constitutes
news.
